Position Description:
This position supports the work of CMSS’ Prelude Preschool of the Arts, which offers arts-centered preschool programming for children ages 2.9 – 5 years. Social connection, love of learning, and fostering creativity are hallmarks of Prelude Preschool. This is an on-call position that involves working in collaboration with Prelude Preschool’s lead teachers and interns to help provide early learners with the tools they need for a bright future.
Required Qualifications:
- EEC Lead Teacher Certified
- Flexibility to take on a variety of shifts, Monday through Friday, sometimes with short notice
- Prompt and reliable
Duties:
- Respond promptly to phone calls or texts when contacted
- Implement arts integrated curriculum for preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten students
- Collaborate with team members to help create and implement curriculum effectively
- Participate in professional development events as needed
- Participate in ongoing CMSS training in equity and inclusion
- Observe all EEC Guidelines and Regulations
- Be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all students, including diapering and medication administration
- Have strong communication with families
- Keep accurate records of students’ learning and development
- Utilize technology for communication, enrichment, and professional development purposes (Google Suite, Zoom)
