Eleni Yalanis

Sonido Musica Program Manager • Cello / Viola / Violin

Eleni Yalanis is a 20-year career music educator. She began her violin studies with her father, Tom Yalanis, and earned her B.A. in music at American University. She taught vocal and instrumental music in the Washington, D.C. and New York City public school systems before becoming an orchestral music teaching artist for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music for 11 years. Eleni moved to Massachusetts in 2014 to work for CMSS and to develop and manage Sonido Musica. Eleni has played for various chamber groups, recordings, and other musical projects in NY, DC and MA. She currently plays violin, harmonium and sings in kirtan groups throughout the Valley.
