Chip Lima
Trumpet
Chip Lima is an active Performer and Educator in the New England area. He holds a Degree in Music education from Middle Tennessee State University, a Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance, and is currently pursuing a Jazz performance certificate from the UMASS Jazz Department. He is a diverse player having played with the New England Repertory Orchestra, principal Trumpet of The Pioneer Valley Winds, and many ensembles in both Jazz and Classical during his time at UMASS.
Chip believes that music shouldn’t be taken too seriously, and the most significant and efficient progress is made when his students understand and ENJOY the challenges they are ready to face. The journey of becoming a self-fulfilled musician lasts a lifetime, and he wants to teach his students how to have fun along the way.
