Position Description:
CMSS seeks a responsible, self-motivated, detail oriented individual to support our student enrollment and administrative activities. This individual must develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of lessons, classes, billing and registration to efficiently assist customers. This position also includes reception duties, creating a welcoming environment for all who walk through the door and helping to direct their inquiries to the proper staff.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of CMSS’ front desk reception team, help all students, staff and visitors feel welcome and comfortable in our space, treating all with respect and empathy to support an organizational culture of equity
  • Answer incoming calls, assist with questions about any and all organizational information
  • Work with Enrollment Manager to ensure consistent follow-up with all student leads, invoices, payment, and drops
  • Process and record tuition payments, and make delinquent payment calls as directed by the Enrollment Manager
  • Assist with tech support for faculty and students/families for ASAP registration software
  • Provide clerical support including data entry, mailing, scanning, copying and maintaining organizational calendars
  • Address any facility, faculty or customer issues that may arise during shift, elevating as needed to appropriate management staff
  • Maintain consistent punctuality and reliability for all shift hours assigned
  • Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and multiple ongoing projects from start to finish
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite. Able to quickly learn new technology (for example registration software or donor records software)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and share responsibility with colleagues
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusivity, which are foundational to CMSS’ mission
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills; Ability to communicate compassionately and respectfully with people from a variety of races, ethnicities, cultures, genders, abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and focus in a busy environment
  • Resourceful in finding solutions to requests or issues

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bilingual – English & Spanish
  • Experience in similar or relevant administrative positions

Starting pay rate:

$18-20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
