Timmy Gives

Timmy Gives is a fundraising initiative to honor Timothy “Timmy” Michael Thompson. Timmy was a drummer in local heavy metal bands Face and 6thirty7 who died tragically in 2004 at the age of 24 after struggling with opioid use disorder. Timmy Gives is partnering with Community Music School of Springfield to provide our percussion program with funds to purchase drumsticks, heads, pedals and other supplies as well as financial aid for percussion students. CMSS’ percussion program offers individual lessons, ensembles, and classes for people of all ages. Areas of study include bucket drumming and “found percussion” groups, drum set, hand drums, Latin percussion, and symphonic percussion.
