Mendon Neyerlin

Adaptive Music Program / Music Exploration

Mendon Neyerlin is a Teaching Artist in CMSS’ Adaptive Music Program. Mendon is a tuba player and educator from Albany, New York, who now lives in western Massachusetts.  He studied tuba performance and music education at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He is now working on a masters degree in public health at the University of Albany, School of Public Health. Mendon has learned how to create unique and innovative music classrooms that cater to the unique needs of his students. His advocacy in and out of the classroom are informed by his public health and education studies and he aims to cultivate safe, inclusive, and lively music classrooms. In his free time, Mendon is passionate about advocating for minority and at risk groups and creating music wherever he goes. Mendon joined CMSS in 2021.
