Kristen Flanagan


Kristen Flanagan is a performer, teacher, and arts administrator.  She recently attended Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and Green Lake Chamber Music Festival. She has performed in masterclasses with members of the Parker, Dover, Borromeo and Shanghai quartets.  While at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she was the recipient of the Susan Cunningham Campbell award in 2015 and the Eugenie M. May Piano Performance Award in 2017. In the spring of 2018, she was selected to present her honors thesis on the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at the Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference.  Additionally, she has held administrative positions at various performing arts organizations such as the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Spoleto Festival USA and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.  Kristen received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and is pursuing her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she was a member of the Undergraduate Commonwealth Honors College.  Her teachers include Gilles Vonsattel, Awadagin Pratt, and Jeewon Park.
