DESCRIPTION:Each year we’re proud to be a part of Blues to Green’s Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival. \nOn Saturday\, our summer session students will kick off the festival in the Second Line Parade and on the Main Stage:\n11:30am: Second Line Parade \n12:00pm: Performance on Main Stage \n12:30pm: Members of our Children’s Chorus of Springfield share the stage with Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer to perform Melanie Athena’s “Mother Earth.” \n \nChalk for Change: A Community celebration during Springfield Jazz and Roots festival!\n\n\n\nDeveloped as part of the Trust Transfer Project during the pandemic\, Chalk for Change emerged as a beacon of hope and positivity when people were yearning for connection and uplifting experiences. Strategically placed at the bus stations and other key locations\, vibrant chalk murals convey powerful messages of community support and unity.
